This Privacy Policy explains how Infinisode ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the Infinisode streaming platform (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in, we receive basic account details from our authentication provider, such as your name and email address.
Profiles. We store the viewer profiles you create, including profile names and avatar choices.
Viewing activity. To power features such as Continue Watching and My List, we record which titles you watch, your playback position, and the titles you save.
Device and usage data. We collect standard log information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate region, and we use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage of the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to operate and improve the Service: to authenticate you, resume playback where you left off, personalize your home screen, maintain your list, keep the Service secure, and analyze aggregate performance. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your viewing activity for third-party advertising.
3. Viewing History (Video Privacy)
We treat your viewing history as sensitive information. Consistent with the U.S. Video Privacy Protection Act and similar laws, we will not knowingly disclose personally identifiable information about the specific video content you have requested or watched to any third party without your separate, informed consent, except as required by law (for example, pursuant to a valid court order).
4. Sharing of Information
We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf (such as cloud hosting, storage, and authentication providers), when required by law, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition. Our service providers are bound to use your information only to provide services to us.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your active profile, and analytics identifiers to measure aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA). 7. Data Retention and Security
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period. We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, though no system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
